ASSOCIATIONS:
We invite you to come together with us. Angel Wing Cottage is currently in the process of seeking a core group to help us get started. We are constantly searching for associations to offer advice as we progress. It is the best of times to truly get involved in helping us build this community from the ground up. Now is the time to relay your suggestions, and your hesitations if any, so we can utilize this information to build a community that will be where you will want to share your remaining years living in happiness and tranquility amongst others that share the same vision and path.

To my loving family , "Thank you". For your input, encouragement, love and support of this endeavor. Most of all, I am thankful for my aging mother providing ther insightful understanding about what is lacking in care and housing of seniors and challenges me to make a difference.
To many of you that have contacted us asking "when and where" this community will be built, along with your input and questions that make us aware there is a need, and a request for such a community in our area, and hopefully in many other areas as we grow sucessfully from this first community that belongs to you.

We are disappointed that our struggle to be come a non profit, has not been approved by the IRS. We will look for another way to bring affordable housing to elders through another type of vessel. There are many who wait for us, and it encourages Angel Wing Cottage to go forward.
We are busy talking to people, and connecting with other co housing communities.
We are still looking at properties that will become a possible site for our community. There are many to choose from, and our excitement grows!
Of interest is land that is not too far from town, with ammenities. We also are seeking land that will sustain our alternative energy sources, such as solar. Not all land is suitable. Much goes into the consideration of building cohousing and keeping the cost affordable.
More and more people are contacting us for info. Many are asked be be placed on a "waiting list". We are pleased. We know we are heading in the proper direction.
Eco Enlightenment
Deana toured a new community that is built with Green Energy Star methods! It was amazing! These homes are very large, not cohousing, but built in the same manner that we are striving to use.
The attic was cool in 90 degree heat! The crawl space was wrapped and prevents moisture or mold from ever growing on underpinnings or entering the home from the ground. The savings will come back to the homeowner in just a short time, by building green. We are so very happy about these potential benefits for our community!
The energy cost will be very very low for our little houses! This means we can likely produce enough energy be able to help our nearby towns by giving back the unused power we produce in excess by tying into the power grid and give back what excess we may have!
We have found recycled natural products being used for beautiful surroundings inside the cottages, such as countertops made from recyled glass, and other eco friendly building materials to use in our project. It feels good to realize that our young senior residents can and will make a difference on the planet.
We are constantly planning, learning, and sharing our information with others.
